CCB archers have been active and successful in Ely and Oxford
As a club we encourage our members to compete by refunding your entry fees (you have to be listed as a CCB member on the target list, you need to actually compete and you need to send the results list to treasurer and secretary to get your refund)

On the last Sunday of the summer season 14 intrepid archers braved a cold, grey and blustery day to do something a little different- a new experience for everyone organised by Huw Howell.
To level the playing field everyone had to shoot using one of the club training bows (18# or less) and we used an assortment of club arrows. [read]
You’ll have noticed the nights getting gloomier. That can only mean one thing. Indoor shooting starts soon!
Indoor shooting is every Monday and Thursday from 7.15-9.15 (pm). Please arrive promptly or even better a little early to help set up. We don’t have a lot of time so late arrivals can be very disruptive for those shooting. [read]
As the temperature climbs compound archers show the way to cope, shooting in the shade (or adjusting the bow) while the recurvers toil in the midday sun.

CCB fielded 3 Recurve and 1 Compound team in the winter postal leagues. The final results:
The compound team won their division (18), Recurve A won division 24, Recurve B came second in division 44 and Recurve C won division 53. [read]
On Sunday 20th May CCB emerged victorious in the annual Town vs Gown recurve match, winning by a small margin, the compound team also won, largely because the University side didn’t field any compounds. Similarly in the Barebow competition, the University were clear winners and only competitors. [read]
Thanks to all that attended, especially those who survived the rain Saturday afternoon.
Results are now uploaded and the provisional dates for next year are the 18th & 19th May.

There has been much confusion around our tournament and what tier it is, if any. It’s now been clarified and it’s a Tier 3 event!
Also, both days will each count as a single day competition. So, only one score for each day, regardless if you shot one session or two. [read]
