About the club Print

The Club itself was formed in 1951 but has recently had to leave it's very nice enclosed grounds and move to a Cambridge University Sports Field, at Trinity College. This is a large 11 acre field but exposed to the East Anglian wind!

We shoot outdoors all year round and also indoors in the winter. As well as some of our members going to the many tournaments in this area each year, we also put on a popular open tournament (Windsor) usually in July.

The club also enters the winter postal league in which we won every match in the compound section last year. Help is always available for anyone interested in attending tournaments, please see the "Fixtures" page for further information. Archery is a very friendly sport and most archers attend tournaments for a good day out and the hope of a personal best, often 1st year archers and the 'experts' will be shooting on the same line, although not at the same distance. See the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page for more information on Archery. We have a great 11 acre field with space for archers to be independent, shoot any round, tune up and run beginners courses at the same time. As well as every week in summer we shoot here two sundays a month in winter.
